Safety on the road - Daytime Running Lights for better visibility |

Dear Philippine Auto Club members,
Are you going on a road trip in the coming days and weeks? Here’s a very simple driving tip that could help you stay away from trouble: turn on your headlights when traveling on two-way highways.
Look at the attached photo and count the number of oncoming cars you see. Did you see the two cars? Or to be more precise, did you see the lights of the second car half a kilometer or so behind the SUV on the left? Notice that the second car is not visible but its lights are? This photo was taken in the early afternoon.

Need emergency roadside assistance?
The new Philippine Auto Club Alarm Center hotline is (02) 812-7878.For towing and other emergency roadside services, the number to call is now (02) 812-7878. Our Alarm Center changed location and inasmuch as we wanted to retain our old numbers, we had to adopt new numbers in line with PLDT's phone number zoning policy. We strongly suggest you save this in your phone and also write it down on a slip of paper and keep it in your glove compartment. |
